WAR MEMORIAL - CENOTAPH

    This memorial honours those who served and those who fell in battle (1914-1918; 1939-1945; 1950-1953). The granite and bronze shaft of the monument stands 30 feet high. On the northern side, standing on a granite block, is a bronze figure of a woman representing Nova Scotia Motherhood, who is looking down at the Shield of Halifax which she holds in her hands.
