A GUIDE TO FREE-STANDING SCULPTURE

"HONOURABLE EDWARD CORNWALLIS"
This statue honours Colonel Edward Cornwallis who in 1749 arrived from London with over 2500 settlers to found Halifax, one of the first British settlements in Canada. The statue is a bronze full-length figure standing nine feet tall and mounted on a concrete pedestal base.
