HRM in its entirety is designated a ‘no tolerance’ graffiti zone.
- HRM will remove graffiti from HRM-owned assets within 3 days of notification.
- Racist, obscene or offensive materials will be removed from HRM-owned assets immediately upon notification and will not exceed a maximum of 24 hours.
- HRM will remove graffiti using environmentally-sound practices.
- While removing graffiti, they will remove any other graffiti, litter, posters, and stickers within a distance of at least 10 metres from the reported incident as well as 10 metres back from where a side street intersects.
- Graffiti is a crime - we will file the incident with the Halifax Regional Police.
