Cultural events and festivals are the heartbeat of a municipality. HRM is the host to the largest concentration of cultural events in the Atlantic region. Throughout the year, hundreds of events are presented, from community-based festivals to mega-concerts on Citadel Hill and the Halifax Common.

Tunes at Noon 
Each summer, with the support of Councillor Dawn Sloane, The Halifax Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Halifax Business Commission (DHBC), the Halifax Regional Municipality, Music Nova Scotia, the Centre for Arts & Technology, C100 and The Coast Tunes at Noon features Nova Scotian performers from a wide range of musical genres for a free, summer lunchtime concert series
Tunes at Noon takes place throughout the summer, three days a week at 12:00 Noon – 1:00 pm in Grand Parade in Halifax.
