HRM's Municipal Services Information 2010
The summer season is well under way, and HRM is working hard to keep area residents and businesses as up to date as possible with respect to what’s happening in July and August. This year, as mentioned in our May newsletter, there are two major concerts taking place – both over a two-day period.
While area residents and businesses are familiar with the increased activity on the Common during the warmer months, the major events do impact upon traffic and bus routes and pedestrian numbers. While inconveniences caused by events are temporary, HRM knows they are still of interest to you. For the most up-to-date event information please visit us on the Web at: www.halifax.ca/EventsOnTheCommon/.
HRM is doing its part to relay pertinent information and ensure any disruption is kept to a minimum. The municipality will send public service announcements to keep media and the public aware of any issues, and the local Councillors for the area - Districts 12 and 14 - are also available to respond to local queries.

We realize that the events and concerts held on the Common pose certain difficulties for some area residents and businesses, so we’d like to take a minute to say “thank you” for your patience and continued support. We’d also like to assure you that we continue to do everything we can to ensure that the least amount of disruption and inconvenience occur as a result of the concerts.

Friday, August 6 and Saturday, August 7, 2010
These concerts feature Alan Jackson, Johnny Reid, Kevin Costner & Modern West, George Canyon, One More Girl, Lonestar, and Billy Currington.
Both concert events will be hosted by Power Promotional Events.
