Burning Ban Lifted

(Wednesday, March 24, 2010) - Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency advise residents of HRM that the burning ban on open fires has been lifted. However, future open air burning bans may occur at a moments notice.

HRM residents are still required to follow the requirements outlined in By-Law 103 and to check the website for further information at www.halifax.ca/fire.

Residents are also encouraged to continue to use caution when having fires in and around woodlands and to ensure you have the means to control or extinguish a fire. Also, be cautious of changing weather conditions, especially wind.
