The Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency Firefighter Combat Challenge Teams have been a HUGE success this year.  This page is dedicated to our teams, their success' and accomplishments! Here you will find their stats and photographs.

CONGRATULATIONS TEAM HALIFAX!!

Congratulations to all who participated and were successful in their respective category(s) and in particular to Firefighter Joe Triff for his two first place individual finishes and for his role in three other team events, with first palce finishes. Joe Triff and his NxG2 partner Mike Sears also set a new WORLD RECORD during nationals...well done guys!!

Competing in the Combat Challenge takes a lot of time and dedication. Some describe it as a passion, others as an addiction. The teams practice around the clock and in all weather. They volunteer their time and push themselves to represent Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency in the highest regard, striving to beat their record times, time and time again.

Halifax, Nova Scotia wa fortunate to host two major events this year. DND hosted the Atlantic Regional Championships on July 14-15, 2007 and Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency hosted The Scott Firefit Championship Finals August 30 to September 2, 2007. Both were a great success for all who participated.

F.A.C.E. "Firefighters Against Cancer's Existence"

When there is a battle to fight that can touch every one of us, then we as firefighters stand together, side-by-side, local-to-local, and county to county: one united force against an evil that knows no bounds. No one is immune, but when it gets touch, the touch get going, and we are that tough. We stand for our brothers and sisters afflicted wsith this dreadful disease and now is the time to stand together as one.

Team Halifax and The Nova Scotia Burn Treatment Society wish to thank all those who supported their efforts through 2007 by purchasing one of their 2007 calendars.

The teams would like to thank management, the many contributors, sponsors and volunteers who dug deep and gave generiously along the way; without their support these accomplishments would not have been possible. Thank you everyone!

On November 3, 2007 our National Champs attended the WORLDS  in Las Vegas, Nevada. The teams competed against "the best of the best" while representing Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency. A wise man once lived by the motto "Go Big or Go Home" ...  our teams trained hard, supported one another and although they came up against new and difficult obstacles they made us proud.
