Police Investigating Robbery

Halifax Regional Police is currently on scene of a robbery that occurred in Clayton Park.

At 3:59 p.m., police responded to a robbery at the Scotiabank located at 255 Lacewood Drive. A man entered the bank and handed a note demanding money to staff. The man fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as white, approximately 30-years-old, 6’ tall, 250 lbs. and has a bruise around his right eye. At the time of the incident he was wearing black clothing, a black toque and was carrying a black backpack.

The investigation is in its early stages. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 490-5016.
