Man Faces Child Pornography Charges

The Halifax Regional Police/RCMP Integrated Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a man in relation to an eight month-long investigation.

Last July, police received a complaint about a man alleged to be in possession of child pornography. As a result of the investigation, a search was conducted at a Huxley Close residence in Halifax in October. At that time a computer was seized.

On March 14, 29 year-old Mark Abou-Haider of Halifax was charged with five counts of luring a child, five counts of making child pornography, five counts of possessing child pornography, three counts of sexual exploitation and one count of invitation to sexual touching. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on May 22 to answer to his charges.
