Missing Person - Police Seek Public’s Help

Investigators with the HRP/RCMP Integrated Vice Unit are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing Halifax youth.

Thirteen-year-old Jaida Lakes-Bates was last seen around noon on January 28 at Halifax Shopping Centre. Jaida has not been in contact with her family and is believed to be in the Halifax-area. Jaida is described as a native female, 5’1”, thin build, with long brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue sweater, black sweatpants and moccasin boots.

There is no evidence to suggest that Jaida has met with foul play. Officers request that Jaida or anyone with information on her whereabouts calls police at 490-5020.
