The Integrated RCMP/HRP Major Crime Unit is seeking the public's assistance in solving the homicide of Jerell Aaron Wright.
At around 10:45 PM on May 13, 2009, Jerell Wright arrived at 16 Clarence Street, North Preston. Wright did not live at this address but often hung out there with friends. Wright was outside standing in a shared driveway when a series of gunshots were fired from the roadway. Wright was struck and died later in hospital. He was 19 years old.
The investigation to date has lead police to believe that Wright was not alone in the driveway when he was shot and that he was not the intended target.
