HRP salutes its volunteers during National Volunteer Week, April 15-22. |
As part of National Volunteer Week (April 15-21), Halifax Regional Police (HRP) is recognizing its volunteers who make many of our community outreach and crime prevention programs possible. Collectively HRP’s volunteers, numbering in excess of 120, contribute over 15,000 hours of volunteer time each year, helping to make our community a better place to live, work and play.

Volunteer of the Year
Halifax Regional Police is pleased to announce Johanna MacDonald as the recipient of the 2012 Volunteer of the Year award.
Johanna MacDonald joined HRP Victim Services in 2003 as a volunteer and exemplifies all the qualities of a dedicated volunteer. She accepts extra shifts when called upon and acts as a trainer and mentor to new volunteers when they join the unit...MORE
