As you can see, there are a number of overlaps in the various goals. The role of the VIC is to coordinate TG endeavours.

Community Development TG

  - encourage volunteerism in Fall River

  - carry out Fall River Vision and Action Plan

Sports and Recreation

  - Implement the Shubenacadie Canal Development Plan

  - adopt a "15 minute walk to a facilty" strategy

  - develop a community trail system

  - develop multi-purpose sports facilities

(Note: this set of goals falls more appropriately under the Open Spaces TG.  A switch is in the offing)

  - Improve road systems to ease automobile circulation
