Good Ideas Funding Program

AHC Logo

ACTIVE Halifax Communities has funds available to support local groups and organizations to increase the number of people getting active in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

This program is meant to foster the capacity of communities in the Halifax Regional Municipality to address physical inactivity of children, youth and their families and work together to build vibrant, healthy communities. Specifically, we aim to increase the physical activity levels of those children, youth and families who represent under served populations. These populations include girls and women, persons with a disability, newcomers or immigrants, persons living in poverty and Aboriginals.

Who Should Apply? Community groups or organizations that work with the aforementioned list of under served populations.

Deadline: The ACTIVE Halifax Communities Advisory Committee meets every second month, however we accept applications all year round. Below is our meeting schedule for 2011.

January 13th, 2011

March 10th, 2011

May 5th, 2011

July 14th, 2011

September 8th, 2011

November 10th, 2011
