Bike to School Day

Dear Principals and Teachers,                                                  

HRM Bike Week (May 29th until June 7th) is an exciting, community driven event that encourages people of all ages and abilities to be more active and get out and see their communities in an enjoyable fashion - cycling!  Last year's event attracted more than 2000 residents to participate in over 30 events held throughout HRM. 

Bike to School Day will take place on
Wednesday June 3rd, 2009

Why should you register your school and take part in MEC Bike to School Day?

• Your school could win a Bicycle Rack, by logging the most participation in this event! (Based on a percentage of the total student population in your School)
  
• Each student who rides to school will also get a chance to win one of 20, $25 gift certificates from Mountain Equipment Co-op!
  
• It is a fun, active and healthy way for students to travel to school.

How to register your school?

• Complete Registration form, and email or fax to
  Gerard Bray, Sport Animator,
  by May 22nd 2009!
  You will then be sent a Registration Package,
  Outlining How Bike To School Day Will Work!
