The Community & Race Relations Advisory Committee is currently inactive and the committee structure is under review.
Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Media Room, First Floor, City Hall, 1841 Argyle Street, Halifax. For more information please contact the Municipal Clerk's Office.
Prior to amalgamation, the previous City of Dartmouth's Advisory Committee on Human Rights and Halifax's Community and Race Relations Committee jointly identified the need to work towards a policy which would recognize and value the municipality's rich diversity. Following amalgamation the two Committees met as a combined Interim Committee until the adoption of the HRM's Community and Race Relations Advisory Committee's terms of reference, January 19, 1999.
