Surveying Section
The Surveying Section carries out 3 primary functions for the municipality:
Legal and engineering surveys to support the design, construction and maintenance of municipal infrastructure: streets, sidewalks, sewers, retaining walls, parks, playgrounds, etc.
Legal and engineering surveys to support the acquisition, development and disposal of real property: land and easement acquisitions, land exchanges, sale of surplus lands, Business Park development, etc.
Create and maintain property boundary and ownership information systems and provide that information and advice to various HRM departments and the general public.
