Steve Streatch was elected to HRM Council in October 1999 representing the rural area of Musquodoboit Valley - Eastern Shore where his family has been established for almost 150 years. Steve, his wife Marilyn and their five sons are active members of their community and support many local organizations and events. He has been involved with local business for many years in his area and currently is the owner/operator of SCI Cablevision which provides cable TV service to the residents of Musquodoboit Valley.
Councillor Streatch currently serves on the following Boards and Committees:

- Community Planning and Economic Development
- Board of Police Commissioners
