HRM is fortunate to have Susan Horton, a resident of District 14, who is doing research on the European Fire Ant in HRM. It is suspected that many fire ant infestations start by plants or other materials that are shared by neighbours or sold at garden centres. Susan is interested in mapping fire ant infestations and she can be reached at susan.horton@smu.ca
