Linda Mosher was elected in 2000 and re-elected in 2004, to represent District 17, Purcell's Cove - Armdale. Linda considers District 17 home, having spent the majority of her life living and learning in the area, attending local schools John W. MacLeod Elementary, Cunard Junior High School and J.L. Ilsley High School.
Linda also obtained her post-secondary education in Halifax, earning a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Dalhousie University, an Accreditation in Pharmaceuticals (APMR designation) and a Secretarial Diploma. Recently, she obtained a Certificate in Municipal Governing, through Dalhousie University’s Henson College.
Before becoming a full time Councillor in 2001, Linda worked for sixteen years in the field of sales and marketing, focusing primarily in the area of pharmaceuticals. During this time she was actively involved in the formation and management of several health advisory boards and initiatives.
When Linda’s not working, she enjoys being active in the community through various sports and recreational activities. As a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, Linda volunteers as an instructor and is past president and founding member of a charitable Tae Kwon Do Association.
