Environmental Management Services (EMS) was created as of January 1, 2003, bringing together several of HRM's environment-related services. EMS includes Solid Waste Management, Environmental Engineering Services, Wastewater Treatment, Harbour Solutions, Sustainable Environmental Management, and Community Projects.
Caring for our environment is everyone’s responsibility. Halifax Regional Municipality is one of a number of local organizations working hard to help preserve and protect our environment.
Environmental Management Services includes many of the programs under HRM's Naturally Green concept, providing more opportunities to work together with our residents.
