A study conducted by Dillon Consulting Ltd. for Halifax Regional Municipality recommends policies and practises on various aspects of water resource management.
The Final Report (PDF, 3.2MB) has been reviewed by HRM's appointed water advisory Boards. Their comments on the report (PDF, 77KB) are available, as well as the HRM staff report to Council (PDF, 100KB). The Report was presented to Council on September 23, 2003. HRM staff are now implementing the recommendations through the appropriate mechanisms, with approval of final actions by Council as required.
