On Saturday, Oct. 30th, the Fall Festival of Fire will take place at Alderney Landing where the first fire sculpture ever in HRM will light up the night sky.
Charles A. Gadeken, a San Francisco fire artist who has shared his work all over the United States, Europe and Australia, will light up a 12-foot sculpture shaped like a wildflower.
"Im beyond excited to bring fire art to Canada. This is a truly original piece that will be remembered for years to come," says Gadeken.
Its but one of many exciting events and activities that will make for an unforgettable night on the Dartmouth waterfront. A projection art piece will be visible from across the harbour as one side of Alderney Landing is transformed into a digital canvas with multi-hued digital flames taking on a variety of forms.
The evening will also include fireworks, a world record holder, live graffitti, music, dance, food and beverages as well as a Halloween costume contest with $2,000 in prizes. The Blue Nose Ghost Haunted House and cemetery tours will be available for added spooky fun.
