Civic Events Grant Application Process 2010/2011

 

The first intake date for 2010/2011 grant process is now closed.

The second intake date for 2010/2011 will reopen May 28th.

Event organizers complete grant application

All Festivals and Events and Marketing Levy Special Events Reserve grant candidate applications (for 1st intake date) are "prescreened" to confirm they qualify for a grant.

All Festivals and Events and Marketing Levy Special Events Reserve grant candidate applications (for 2nd intake date) are "prescreened" to confirm they qualify for a grant.

Applicants receive initial response from HRM Civic Events.

It is strongly recommended to complete and submit your application as soon as possible.

You will receive a letter confirming receipt of your application and your event’s application reference number. Don’t loose this number as it is needed for all communications between HRM and your event. If you haven’t heard from us within 10 business days after submitting your application, please contact our office at 490.2700.

Applications are scored through a standard qualification form and do not include an appeal process.

Applications are processed.
All applications are reviewed by staff and scored using a standard scoring sheet. Staff will prepare a list of potential grant recipients and grant sums.  Applicants required to make a presentation to SEAC will be notified.
Applications from the 1st intake begin being processed in February
& Application from the 2nd intake begin being processed September
 
Applications are presented to HRM Council for Approval.
SEAC prepares the entire grant budget and recommends the budget to Council. Dependant on Council’s decision, this budget may be passed or need adjustment.

Confirmed grant recipients are notified.
A letter is mailed to you officially notifying you of your grant amount and requesting that you send an invoice to HRM.

Application Forms are unavailable

Applications are not available during this time and will not be accepted. All Festivals & Events and Marketing Levy Special Events Reserve grant recipients must re-apply for potential grant funding in the subsequent years.
