Heritage Quest Headquarters
Location: Mic Mac Mall, next to the Eddie Bauer store
Activities: Play Heritage Quest the game with your family. Once you’ve answered a few heritage riddles and questions you are rewarded with a ‘treasure bag’ for the kids! Enjoy storytellers, musicians, dancers, artifacts, and more. We'd like to thank Mic Mac Mall for their generous donation to Heritage Quest.

Heritage Quest ‘The Game’

Locations: Various Locations throughout Halifax

- Maritime Museum of the Atlantic*
*Musems will be opening the lobby for H.Q., no free access to the museum
Activity: Travel to heritage locations in Halifax, answer the heritage question asked there and be rewarded with a *treasure bag* for the kids! Check back after April 11 for full contest details and rules.

The Nova Scotia Archives
Location: 6016 University Avenue, Halifax
The Nova Scotia Archives will be giving away treats and buttons to visitors who drop by the archives building and answer a history riddle. Photos and film stills will be screened in the lobby and computers will be made available for genealogy research.
Time: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Tangier Gold Mines
Location: Tangier Gold Mine
Activity: Explore this heritage site which commemorates the visit of Prince Albert to the gold mines in 1861. This site is open year round. Members of the Tangier Gold Mines Historical Society will be present to greet visitors and answer questions.

Evergreen House
Location: Evergreen House, 26 Newcastle Street, Dartmouth N.S, B2Y 3M5
Restored Victorian house built in 1867 for Judge Alexander James; a fine
example of a mid-Victorian gentleman's residence. Former home of Dr Helen
Creighton, Nova Scotian author and folklorist, now home of Dartmouth
Heritage Museum. Panoramic view of Halifax Harbour.
Come and see why the community is calling Evergreen the "gem of Dartmouth"

Heritage Quest Social & NS Archives Film Night
Location: St Paul’s Church, 1749 Argyle Street
Activity: Enjoy some refreshments and treats at this casual gathering. The Nova Scotia Archives is providing some wonderful vintage films for your enjoyment. People with an interest in social heritage will love the films and each other’s company at this event. HRM’s social heritage strategy survey will be present for review and discussion.
Time: 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Heritage at the Halifax Regional Libraries
Location: All Halifax Regional Library branches
Activity: All of the branch libraries will do book displays focussing on their community's history.
Genealogy One-to-One Consultation
Location: Spring Garden Rd. Memorial Public Library
Activity: Are you looking to solve a curious family mystery? Need guidance and advice on where to go next? Book a free 30 minute one-to-one appointment with local history and genealogy librarian, Joanne McCarthy.

Heritage Quest Halifax Seaport Farmers Market
Location: Halifax Seaport Farmers Market
Activities: Play Heritage Quest the game with your family. Once you’ve answered a few heritage riddles and questions you are rewarded with a *treasure bag* for the kids! Enjoy storytellers, musicians, dancers, artifacts, and more. A visual presentation of heritage images will be on display.
Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Heritage Quest Memory Lane Heritage Village
Location:
Activities: Grab an authentic meal at the cookhouse or maybe a woodstove treat. Join in a riddle based scavenger hunt that leads to a geo cache. Enjoy some parlour tales told to you by storytellers. Other offerings include the ‘Making Do’ program and the ‘Deep Roots’ program. The ‘steam box’ will be in operation. This box creates ‘ribs’ for boats. And finally the ‘shingle mill’ be working on this day.
VIP Prize Package Details: This certificate entitles one family to a $10 gas card, a family meal at Memory Lane, a Heritage Quest treasure bag for the kids, and a Memory Lane prize package for the family which includes their famous paper dolls, pins as well as other fun items!
