Reconstruction to Start Soon!
The consultation process is now complete and HRM is ready to commence construction of the new Beaverbank Kinsac Community Centre.
The need to increase program requirements and address a number of deficiencies in the original facility has been recognized. These issues include security, building layout, plus mechanical and electrical design. The new Community Centre design is approximately 4,365 square feet larger which will better serve community requirements.

Building Detail - The new facility will have/be:
- 22,555 sq/ft in size (not including existing apparatus bay)

- equipped with geothermal heating

- LEED Silver Certification
|
The Community Centre will feature: multi-purpose room, kitchen, Youth/ Seniors program space, board room and children's programming space.
The Fire Services support area will include a training room, dormitory, training office and kitchen.
