For over 20 years, the 22,000 residents of East Dartmouth had to leave their community to access recreational programs and services, to conduct meetings and to stage social gatherings. 

Not any more! Now a state-of-the-art Community Centre is located in the heart of the community. It will create a sense of pride and serve as a focal point for community programs and services inclusive to all ages, abilities and cultures.

The HRM-owned facility is the new, permanent home of the Boys and Girls Club of East Dartmouth, who will also be responsible for day-to-day facility operations.

A Community Advisory Board, comprised of citizens of East Dartmouth, oversees the operation of the Centre. This Board will ensure the Centre continues to meet all the social, recreational and community needs of East Dartmouth in the coming years.
