Road construction on Cuisack Street
(Monday, August 22, 2005) - Dexter Harbour Solutions is continuing construction of the Halifax Harbour Solutions Project for Halifax Regional Municipality, with construction activity this season increasing in Dartmouth.
Construction of the Cuisack St. combined sewer overflow (CSO) device will begin on Tuesday, August 23, 2005. The work will require the construction of a cofferdam surrounding the structure. During the period of cofferdam construction, estimated to be two weeks, access to the adjacent walking trail from the end of Cuisack St. to the southern intersection of the walking trail with the driveway to the Dartmouth Wastewater Treatment Plant will be closed.
Upon completion of cofferdam construction, Dexter Harbour Solutions will reconnect the walking trail and isolate the work zone from the public. The construction of the CSO structure itself will require an additional eight weeks to complete.
Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7 A.M. to 6 P.M., with weekends as required.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. For more information please contact Anneli Lehikoinen, Dexter Harbour Solutions at 425-0141 or James Campbell at 490-4604.
