Road Construction on Hollis Street
Monday, May 26, 2008 - On or about Wednesday, May 28th, Harbour Solutions Project-related construction will get underway on Hollis Street between Bishop Street and Morris Streets.
The duration of construction is approximately four days.
The work will require a lane closure on Hollis Street, reducing the traffic flow from two southbound lanes to one. All current parking zones within this block will be closed during the construction period. It is expected that the sidewalk on both sides of the street will remain open at all times.
The hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with weekends as required.
There will be no anticipated loss of municipal services to local residents or businesses during the construction of this work.
Motorists are asked to use caution while driving through the work area.
Experienced traffic control personnel will ensure smooth traffic flow. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize impacts.
