  • Local traffic only between Morris and South.
  • Installation of new sanitary sewer for sewer separation is proceeding.

Halifax South SCS (Morris)

  • No construction activity (basic sewer work completed).

Halifax South SCS (Barrington)

  • No construction activity.

Halifax South SCS (Inglis)

  • No construction activity (basic sewer work complete).

Halifax South SCS (Young Ave.) 

  • No construction activity (basic sewer work completed).

Halifax South SCS (Southwood)

  • No construction activity (basic sewer work complete).

Halifax South SCS (CN Pipe Bridge)

Washroom substantially complete.

Mechanical and electrical installations continue.
Pier A Pumping Station

Pump station is backfilled.

Shoring extraction complete.

Sheeting/shoring placement for CSO proceeding with excavation and installation of walers.
Atlantic School of Theology(AST) Pumping Station

Installation of mechanical and electrical equipment continues.

Maritime Museum of the Atlantic CSO(combined sewer overflow)

Installation of mechanical and electrical equipment in the CSO structure continues.

Halifax North SCS

Traffic diversions at Duffus St. and Hanover St. for pipe installations.

Irving Wharf

Stockpiled slate material on site.

Halifax Wastewater Treatment Plant(WTP) Outfall

Upper Water St. open to traffic in front of Casino.

Pipe work proceeding across Barrington St. towards Halifax WTP.

Upper Water St. CSO

Upper Water St. reinstated for traffic.

Cleaning and preparing CSO for visual inspection.

Halifax Access Tunnel Site-under Cogswell St. interchange

No construction activity.

Sackville St Tunnel exit Shaft Site

No construction activity.

Sackville Street CSO

Mechanical and electrical installations in CSO structure continue.

DND Parking

No displaced parking.

North Street CSO

Mechanical and electrical installations in CSO structure continue.

Young Street CSO

Installation of mechanical and electrical equipment in CSO structure continues.

Halifax WTP Site

Drilling/blasting around tunnel entrance for transition into wet well.

Roof bolting proceeding in tunnel entrance.

Floor anchors in north end of wet well installed and stressed.

Walls and slabs in Zones 2 and 3 proceeding.

Mechanical and electrical piping proceeding in Zones 2 and 3.
Dartmouth WTP Outfall No current activity.
Duke St. Sewer Separation

Reinstatement of Duke St. underway.

Dartmouth WTP Access Driveway

Grubbing and grading essentially complete.

Construction of retaining wall proceeding.

Dartmouth North SCS

Trenching and preparing for pipe installation between Grove and Wallace St. is complete.

Pipe placement proceeding.

Dartmouth WTP Site

Base lift of fill material placed to raise grade around building footprint.

Salter St. Sewer Separation

Asphalt cap complete on Granville and Salter.

Hollis St. pipe installations continue between Morris and South.
Cuisack St. CSO

Steel sheet pile shoring installation complete.

Portion of the Dartmouth waterfront trail diverted around CSO site.

Currently forming CSO walls.

TBM - Tunnel Boring Machine

WTP - Wastewater Treatment Plant
DS - Drop Shaft(s) - access shafts drilled to pour concrete into the tunnel for the tunnel lining.
