April, 2008 - To date, HRM has received payments totaling $35.7 million from the federal government, representing the progress claims to date under the total $60 million federal contribution. In addition to the receipt of the provincial land for the Dartmouth Wastewater Treatment Plant, HRM has also received $10 million to date from the provincial government. The budget for the project remains at $333 million.
Construction expenditures
As of March 31, 2008, construction expenditures to date total $290 million.
The majority of these expenditures have been incurred with respect to the Halifax, Dartmouth, and Herring Cove Sewage Collection Systems, and the Halifax, Dartmouth, and Herring Cove Wastewater Treatment Plants.
Through the Sewage Collection Systems, flows will be conveyed to the Wastewater Treatment Plants.
