Youth LIVE is a job experience program for individuals between 16 and 30 who are motivated to make a change in their lives. Participants in the program earn income and enhance their employability while working in Youth LIVE business initiatives that provide services to our community. YMOVE

WHAT is YMOVE?
Due to barriers faced by Youth in gaining and maintaining employment, the YMCA of Greater Halifax/Dartmouth has designed the YMCA, Motivation, Opportunity, Vision, Employment program (YMOVE) to help target Youth in tackling issues such as social-economic, cultural barriers, lack of support/direction, low education/skills, ineffective and inaccurate job searching techniques.

WHO can use the YMOVE program?
Priority Youth between the ages of 15 and 30 who are unemployed or underemployed reside within the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM).

Start date: Monday, May 7, 2012
End date: August 31, 2012
Salary: $15.00/hour
Hours:  35 hours per week, generally 7 hours per day, including weekends, holidays and evening hours.
