IS SUPPORT TECHNICIAN II or III

Halifax Water is inviting applicants for one (1) regular IS Support Technician II or III position due to a vacancy within the Engineering and Information Services Department. The successful incumbent will be responsible for assisting with the provision of effective day-to-day operations; maintenance and support of the Commission’s technical hardware, software, and communication systems ensuring systems are fully functional and meet the needs and requirements of the Commission.
Minimum Qualifications include Grade 12 (or equivalent) and a post secondary diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology. Plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience for IS Support Technician II or a minimum of 5 years related experience for IS Support Technician III; along with certification in one of the following: Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) or Certified Novel Administrator (CNA), or an equivalent certification may be considered.
