The source of supply for Halifax, Bedford, Sackville, Timberlea, Fall River and Waverley regions of the urban core is Pockwock Lake and the J. Douglas Kline Water Supply Plant.
The Dartmouth, Cole Harbour, Westphal and Eastern Passage regions are served by Lake Major and the Lake Major Water Supply Plant.
Halifax Water also operates six Small Systems, serving from 15 to 300 customers in rural communities outside the urban core. Operations services are provided to several private water supply systems on a contractual basis.
