Computer Purchase Plan: HW offers an interest free loan to employees wishing to purchase a computer for home use. The employee repays the loan over a set period of time interest free. Payments are automatically deducted from the employees pay.
Disability Insurance: This is LTD (Long Term Disability) which is paid 50% by employee/employer.
Employee Assistance Program: HW offers an Employee Assistance Program through the Family Services Association. This service is offered for the well-being of HW employees whether it be work related or personal. This service is 100% paid by the employer.
Fitness Incentive: HW offers a fitness incentive to promote "wellness" among employees. This is offered to employees who participate in a formal fitness program. The Commission will cost share the price of an annual membership to an approved facility offering general fitness programs.
Life Insurance: HW offers a group life insurance plan 50% paid by the employer/employee. Also offered is Group ADD at 50% employer/employee; Optional Life and Optional Spouse offered at 100% to the employee; Optional ADD at 100% to the employee, Dependant Life at 10,000 at 50% employer/employee. 
Medical / Dental Plan / Vision : HW and Medavie Blue Cross offer a choice of two plans to choose from to meet the employees needs. This is paid 50% by employee/employer. Glasses fall under the medical plan and the details are outlined within each one. THW does pay up to 50% of anti-reflective coating on glasses for safety reasons.
Payroll Savings Plan: HW offers Canada Savings Plan to employees. Enrollment is taken in October and deductions are made directly from the employees pay.
Pension Plan: HW employees enroll into a pension plan the date of hire. Employees contributory rate is 10.47% which is matched equally by the employer.
Sick Leave: HW employees are entitled to a bonus for the non use of sick time each year. Employees also accumulate 18 sick days per year which they may bank up to 200. This bank is the short term disability incase of injury/accident and must be used prior to applying for LTD.
(There is a three month waiting period for employee benefits.)
