Some of the responsibilties for system capacity & planning include:

• wastewater treatment capacity
• stormwater and wastewater collection system capacity
• design and construction of certain wastewater and stormwater projects

A commitment from the Federal government for $30 million from the Canada Strategic Infrastructure Fund will be used for certain categories of projects over the next several years:

• Wastewater Treatment Plant Diffusers Ratio Upgrade

• Combined Sewer Overflow Prevention

• Pumping Stations Upgrades / Wet Weather Flow Solutions

• Central Biosolids Dewatering Facility (Lagoon Phase-out)
