BY-LAW U-101 RESPECTING USER CHARGES
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that By-law U-101 respecting User Charges was adopted by Halifax Regional Council on May 9, 2017.
The purpose of the By-law is to approve amendments to By-law U-100 for the purpose of which is to amend Schedule 2 to change the annual SmartTrip membership fee structure.
The text of the amended By-law U-100 may be viewed on the Internet in the Legislation section at www.halifax.ca or copies obtained from the Office of the Municipal Clerk, 1841 Argyle Street, 2nd floor, Halifax between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

BY-LAW L-137 RESPECTING LOCAL IMPROVEMENT CHARGES
AMENDMENTS TO THE REGIONAL SUBDIVISION BY-LAW
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Halifax Regional Municipality will consider the adoption of By-Law L-137 and a related amendment to the Regional Subdivision By-Law at a meeting of Regional Council to be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, in the Halifax Council Chamber, 1841 Argyle Street, Halifax. If the Public Hearing cannot be concluded on this date, it will continue on a date determined by Council at the Public Hearing.
By-law L-137 will amend By-law L-100 the Local Improvement Charges By-law, the purpose of which is to set the charges for the installation of water servicing in Fall River and adjoining lots along Fall River Road and Highway # 2 to the Highway 102 Overpass, Lockview Road to the Lockview School access, McPherson Road and a portion of Ingram Drive. The related amendment to the Regional Subdivision By-Law will include this area in the Water Service Area and allow the installation of the proposed central (piped) water system.
The Council will receive oral and written submissions from interested persons concerning the above by-laws at the May 23, 2017 session of Council. Written submissions must be received by the Municipal Clerk’s Office no later than 3:00 p.m. on the advertised Public Hearing date. Written submissions may be forwarded to the Municipal Clerk by mail, PO Box 1749, Halifax NS, B3J 3A5, by fax, 902-490-4208, or by E-mail: email@example.com. For any written submissions exceeding three standard letter sized pages in length, thirty copies must be supplied to the Municipal Clerk’s Office.
