CORRECTION
NEWSPAPER REPORT ERRONEOUS
(Friday, July 13, 2001)-- Contrary to an article published in The Chronicle-Herald this morning, Penhorn Lake is
not closed to the public.
HRM's Parks and Recreation Services has received a number of telephone calls from the public inquiring as to
when, and why, Penhorn Lake was closed to swimmers.
HRM advises that the lake is NOT closed to swimmers and that water tests carried out by the Nova Scotia
Department of the Environment confirm that the lake water is safe for swimming.
