Boot Drive To Raise Money for Firefighter with rare Blood Disease

(Thursday, April 18,2002)- Firefighters from Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency Services will be conducting a Boot Drive at various malls around metro this coming Friday & Saturday,April 19th & 20th.

The Boot Drive is intended to aid a firefighter who has a rare disease which can only be treated at two locations throughout North America,with the closest facility being located in Boston. The money that is collected from the Boot Drive will be placed in a fund to help this firefighter and any others that may need help in a similar situation. We wish to thank everyone for their cooperation and generosity in advance.
