Springfield Lake in Sackville Closed to Swimmers

(Thursday, August 22/2002)-- The HRM supervised portion of Springfield Lake in Sackville is closed to the public due to water quality problems, effective immediately.

Halifax Regional Municipality is working with the Nova Scotia Department of the Environment to determine the cause of the contamination.

HRM thanks the public for its cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience.
