Dalhousie & King's College UPass
Please note: The information below is specific to Dalhousie University and University of King's College students only.
Your UPass is a Metro Transit pass, specifically for the use of Dalhousie and King's College students.
If you're a full-time student, your UPass allows you to ride Metro Transit's conventional bus and ferry services beginning September 1 until April 30.
Am I eligible?
All full-time students receive a Dal/King's UPass. Part-time students and post-graduate medicine students are not eligible. There is no opt-out clause for the UPass program (see refund eligibility).
How much does it cost?
The 8 month UPass fee is $134 (plus the institutions administrative fees) and is part of your mandatory incidental student fees.
Where and when do I get my U-Pass?
You can pick up your UPass at any of the following locations once you have your student ID:
- Student Accounts, Basement Level, Henry Hicks Academic and Administration Building
- DalCard Office, 1443 Seymour St
- Student Service Centre, 1360 Barrington St, Sexton Campus
If you lose your UPass, you can get a new one for a $15 replacement fee. Just visit any of the above locations.
How does it work?
Your UPass is valid for unlimited use, 7 days a week, throughout the academic year, ending on April 30.
UPass is accepted on all conventional Metro Transit buses and ferries, excluding MetroLink, MetroX, and Community Transit buses. (Appropriate additional fare is required on these special services.)
Refund eligibility?
