Lacewood Terminal Relocation Study
Tuesday, January 26, 2010
Metro Transit and Delphi MRC Consulting held a Public Information Session on Monday, January 25, 2010, as part of the Lacewood Terminal Relocation Study.
The existing Lacewood Terminal on Willet Street can no longer accommodate the increasing needs of HRM residents in the area and the results of this study will determine the most appropriate site for Metro Transit’s new facility.
The meeting consisted of a brief introduction from staff, further information on the project process from the consultants, followed by a question and answer period.
Currently, there are 3 potential HRM-owned sites that would be deemed suitable to re-locate an improved Lacewood Terminal; on one of two vacant lots; and the third at the present site of Northcliffe, which would have to be decommissioned.
