Metro Transit's New Ragged Lake Centre Rolling Out Service!
(August 29, 2010) - Metro Transit officially rolled out service from the new Ragged Lake Transit Centre on Sunday morning, marking the largest transit expansion ever in HRM, and the beginning of a new era in service delivery.

Google Transit to go offline for 2 weeks as of August 29, '10
In order to allow Google the opportunity to upload, implement, and test our numerous schedule and service adjustments, Google Transit will be unavailable to customers for approximately 2 weeks as of August 29, '10.
Customers will be notified as soon as the service is available; in the interim, schedule information is available through the online Riders' Guide and Route Map, at HRM Customer Service Centres and 54 retail outlets, or contact the HRM Call Centre at 490-4000.

Printing Error - August 29th, 2010 Riders’ Guide
Due to a printer’s error, pages 15 to 18, and 83 to 86 in the August 29th, ’10 Riders’ Guide have not been stapled properly and therefore susceptible to falling out of the guide.
Currently, the guide’s are being reprinted and are expected to be delivered and re-distributed the week of August 30, ’10.

We are pleased to be expanding our service by introducing 3 new routes as of August 29, 2010. See below for route descriptions and schedules.
Route #8 Waterfront (ALF) - From Scotia Square, left on George
St, right on Hollis St, left on Terminal Rd, right
on Marginal Rd, left at Garrison Brewery
Entrance, right on Harbourwalk South to main
driveway at Marginal Rd, left onto Marginal Rd,
left at Cunard Centre, right on Marginal Road,
left on Terminal Rd, right on Lower Water St,
to Upper Water St to Cogswell St. ramp, left
on Barrington and return to Scotia Square.
Route #22 Armdale (ALF) - Mumford Terminal, right on Chebucto
Rd, to Armdale Roundabout, to St. Margaret’s
Bay Rd, left on Quarry, left on Edgehill, right on
Glenmore, left to Stonehaven, right on Alton
Dr, left on Kelly Rd, right on Osborne, right
on Walter Havill, to Albert Walker, left on St.
Margaret’s Bay Rd, left to Prospect, right on
Ragged Lake Blvd to Ragged Lake Transit
Centre, right to Prospect Rd, left at Exhibition
Park (Metro Transit Park & Ride) and return.
Route #57 Russell Lake (ALF) - Portland Hills Terminal, left on Portland St., left on Portland Hills Dr., continue Portland Estates Blvd West, right on Russell Lake Dr., left on Eisener Dr., left on Portland St. to Penhorn Terminal, left on Portland St., right on Baker Dr., right onto Mount Hope overpass, left on ramp to Hwy 111, straight on Hwy 111, right on Pleasant St. to Woodside Ferry Terminal (peak hours only), back to Pleasant St., right on Acadia St., left on Mount Hope Ave., right on Estates Rd., right on Atlantic St., to Woodside Ferry Terminal (peak hours only), and return.

Metro Transit is reintroducing route 30's as Urban Express routes, offering limited stop service within the urban core, while maintaining existing local service. Select your new Urban Express route below for more details!
