How to use Bus & Ferry Schedules
Schedules for Metro Transit routes are provided in PDF format on this website. These PDFs look very similar to the printed Rider's Guide, which you can find at retail outlets around HRM. If you are comfortable using the Rider's Guide, you should have no difficulties using the online version of our schedules. If this is your first time using our schedules, or if you have unanswered questions, we hope that the following overview will help:

- Each route listing identifies a selection of
stops or timing points along the route.
- Below the
stops are listed the times when buses are scheduled
to leave that point throughout the day.
- Reading from
left to right will tell you how long it takes for your
bus to travel between timing points.
- Reading down
the columns indicates how often the bus runs.
- Dashes in a column indicate that the bus does not
service that timepoint on that trip.
- Times in light face
type mean morning or AM, while bold type
indicates PM or afternoon and evening times.
In
addition there are special notes or conditions that
apply to specific routes.
Please check any footnotes to see if they apply to
the route and times you wish to travel.
The four digit number at the top of the column is
that stop’s GoTime number. When you dial 480 plus
the GoTime number you will hear when the next two
buses, for each route, will be leaving that stop.
