12. Added Items
12.1 White Juan Update
Kevin gave an update on activities that took place during “White Juan” snow storm. The Access-A-Buses where off the road for several days, due to the large amount of snow that fell. The difficulties faced by Access-A-Bus and the Low Floor Buses was extreme due to snow banks and narrow streets.
12.2 Bus Dedication
An information item was brought forward on a bus dedication for an Access-A-Bus user who passed away. A discussion followed, and it was felt that with the number of Access-A-Bus passengers who pass away each year, it would be difficult to do a bus dedication for one, and not recognize other passengers. There have only been two bus dedications in the past, both have been Low Floor Buses, one for Mel Hebb who was instrumental in getting Low Floor Buses started and Marg Hiltz who was involved in getting Access-A-Bus started.
12.3. Access A Bus User ID Cards
With the free ride program on the Low Floor Buses open to everyone, not just Access-A-Bus passengers. There is no need to issue ID Cards to Access-A-Bus passengers who have misplaced theirs.

12.9. Funeral Transportation
The problem of booking buses for funerals was discussed. The problem with funerals is that they are unplanned and are booked with only a few days notice. Metro Transit will do what they can to try and accommodate transportation to funerals.
