Temporary Service Disruptions at Barrington/Duke Stops

Over the next few months, improvements will be made by the HRM Capital District and Metro Transit to the streetscape around Scotia Square and the Barrington Street entrance to the downtown core.

As a result, the existing bus stops at Duke & Barrington and across the street next to the Barrington Delta Hotel will be temporarily relocated. We apologize for any inconvenience the resulting disruptions of service may cause.

Construction will take place in three phases:

Phase One - Monday, June 13th through Monday, July 4th, 2005.
The Duke & Barrington Stops will move away from the corner on Barrington nearer to the Cogswell Street Interchange and the Delta Halifax Hotel.

Phase Two - Monday, June 27th through Saturday, August 6th, 2005.
Bus stops on the opposite side of Barrington Street will be temporarily moved further south of the existing stops.

Phase Three - Monday, July 4th through Saturday, August 6th, 2005.
Relocates the bus stops near the Scotia Square Loading Zone Entrance and Delta Halifax to closer to the corner of Duke & Barrington.
