New Portland Hills Terminal - May 29th 2005

On May 29th 2005, Portland Hills opened it's new terminal, servicing Routes #59 Colby, #61 Auburn-North Preston, #65 Astral, and #68 Cherry Brook. This terminal also introduces the NEW Route #72 Portland Hills - a fully accessible ALF route running from Portland Hills Terminal to Ilsley Avenue, Burnside Park, Dartmouth; with Monday to Saturday daytime service.

The new terminal will also service Metro Transit's NEW limited-stop, direct, premium service called MetroLink. This new service will run from Portland Hills Terminal to Alderney Landing Ferry Terminal and Scotia Square. Check out the MetroLink section for current updates, or look for information in our retail outlets.

Also coming soon to this location:

• A bike path connecting the terminal with surrounding neighbourhoods will be completed in August 2005. Why not Bike'n'Ride to work?
• A consession stand will soon be available in the main terminal building for passengers' convenience.
• When MetroLink launches from this terminal, passengers will be able to make their route connections with the Link.
