University Routes

Metro Transit is pleased to provide the following route service information to enable you to get to and from campus with ease. For more information, see the Schedules & Route Maps page, or call the HRM Call Centre at 490-4000.

Route 9 - Barrington
Route Map
Runs every 1/2 hour, from Tower Rd to Mumford Terminal, via Barrington Street.

Route 10 - Dalhousie
Route Map
15 minute service at peak time, 30 minute service off-peak.

Route 14 - Leiblin Park
Route Map
30-minute service every weekday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from Scotia Square to Mumford; then 60-minute service until 11:00 p.m. 30-minute service all day from Mumford to Scotia Square, 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Please refer to Riders' Guide for Route 61 Auburn-North Preston thru-route information.

Route 16 - Parkland

Route Map

Weekday & Saturday service between Lacewood Terminal and the Dartmouth Bridge Terminal via Kearney Lake Road, the Bedford Highway and the MacKay Bridge. 30-minute service all day between 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Route 17 - Saint Mary’s University
Route Map
Daily 1/2 hour service from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm between the Lacewood Terminal and SMU.

Route 18 - Universities
Route Map
Daily from 7 am to 12 midnight, 1/2 hour service throughout, between SMU and the Lacewood Terminal. Three additional afternoon trips, departing SMU to Lacewood at 2:27, 2:55 and 3:40 pm.

Route 41 - Dartmouth/Dalhousie

Bridge Terminal in Dartmouth to Dal Terminal (SUB) via Barrington St. (Sexton Campus), South St. Fifteen minute rush hour service, 8:00 am - 9:00 am. Half hour service between 7:00 am - 7:00 pm. No weekend service.

Route 42 - Lacewood/ Dalhousie

Lacewood Terminal in Clayton Park to Dal Terminal (SUB) via Main Av., Village at Bayers Rd., Robie St., (Carleton Campus), South St., Half hour service between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm. No weekend service.

Route 61 - Auburn-North Preston
Route Map
20 minute service at am peak times, hourly service off-peak times and 1/2 hour service during pm peak times. Daily from 5:30 am to 11 pm, between North Preston and Scotia Square and continues on Route 14 Leiblin Park (please refer to above Route 14 information).

Transit Terminology

Peak times - Between the hours of 7 am to 8:30 am and 3 pm to 6 pm
Off-peak times - Time that exists between and after peak times
Thru-route - Bus will continue past its final destination as another route, which would negate the need to transfer
