This is an example of a possible design. Other formats are possible, as long as they present the required information and conform to size limits.

Note that signs must also conform to provincial requirements - (Include the pesticide common name, trade name and PCP#; and the commercial applicator company name if applicable).

The signs must be square or rectangular, not less than 25 centimeters by 25 centimeters; bright yellow in colour; made of weather resistant material; bear the words: "Warning - Pesticides In Use" (at least 24 point type) and the symbol of a skull and crossbones at least 4.5 inches in diameter. Signs must indicate the commercial name of the pesticide and that all contact with treated property must be avoided; and the telephone number for the applicator of the pesticide and the date of application. Consult the by-law for detailed requirements.
