Application by WM Fares on behalf of Louisburg Developments Limited for a development agreement to permit a mixed use building at 827 Bedford Highway, Bedford.

The applicant would like to negotiate a development agreement to permit a mixed use (commercial/office and residential uses) building at 827 Bedford Highway. The proposed building is three storeys plus underground parking and is located on a 30,885 sq ft lot.

Process

This application is being considered through the development agreement process.

Status

The proposal has gone through an internal review. A staff report and draft development agreement was presented to North West Planning Advisory Committee on July 7, 2010. The proposal was reviewed by North West Community Council and a Public Hearing was held on September 23, 2010. Community Council approved the proposed development as outline in the July 26, 2010 staff report. The proposal is now subject to an appeal process by the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board.
